I needed to upgrade a bedroom TV to receive HDTV w/o an external tuner. Who wants to spend $150 for a tuner with HDMI when this TV is $300? I liked the idea of the lighter weight and possible longer life of the LED backlight. I'm impressed with the tuner and the picture but the audio is a throwback to the tinny speakers of old. No bass or midrange. I think it may even be mono? (gasp!). Fortunately I have a Home theater receiver in the bedroom so disaster averted. If you don't have a home theater even a good PC speaker system with a sub would be far superior. Overall satisfied to get a name brand with a one year warranty and LED backlighting for the price.
